Frequently Asked Questions
What vaccines and health records does my dog need to stay with you?
To keep all dogs safe and healthy, we require proof of up-to-date vacation, uncaring rabies, distemper/parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella. In addition, we ask for a negative stool sample test done within the last 6 months. This helps us maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone. please provide a copy of these records 10-14 days prior to your dogs stay. These records can be uploaded to your client portal or email to [email protected]
What training methods and tools do you use?
My training focuses on fostering clear communication, trust, and respect between you and your dog. I use “balanced” training methods, which means I adapt to your dog’s unique needs. Tools like transitional leashes, prong collars, clickers, E-Collars, and many more may be used thoughtfully and appropriately to ensure your dog feels confident and supported as they learn.
Is my dog too young or too old to be trained?
Not at all! training is for every dog, no matter their age. Puppies are like little sponges, eager to soak up new skills and good habits, while older dogs are perfectly capable of learning and thriving with the right guidance. Whether you’re starting fresh with a young pup or working with an experienced senior, it’s never too early-or-too late-to create a stronger connection and a well-balanced companion. Every dog can learn, and I’m here to help them (and you) succeed!
How many times a day should I work on training with my dog?
Training with us is a lifestyle, not just a one hour session once a week, or training here and there. Training is happening all the time in your everyday life. Setting a routine, structure, and boundaries are just a few examples.
